Silver twists and more

Spent the past few days doing silver twising and threading - fingers are sore but happy! Below are a few of the weeks efforts.
Below - superb Thai silver pendant, Indian silver, blue goldstone and wire twisted by me.

Tllerman Beads are always stunning!

A remake using Anastia's glorious glass beads with twisted silver.

Silver and matt black onyx - no twisting here.

Spiral Thai silver.

More glass and glitz

Besides the first bracelet with charming coin pearls and Thai dragonfly I have spent the past few days using glass and glitz.

Baubles and crystals

One of the joys of Quiapo is that I can indulge my desire for baubles and all things crystally. The crystals, glass and fake pearls coming out of China now are just getting better and better and every so often I put some sparkly things together.

Then in more earthy tones with real beads some beautiful cylindrical banded agates and pearls.

I read last week that black and white are coming back this year so tried to work on that too - the pearls are a super quality but they don't photograph well.

Back on a roll!

Made three pieces yesterday using beads from Lushlampwork a bead designer based In Herefordshire. She softly etches the beads to give a matt finish and then each bead has a band of embedded silver trailed around it. The colours and tones of the beads are highlighted with keshi and potato pearls, silver and swarovski crystals.

22 days later....

Despite the lack of action on the blog I have been making jewellery. Above a combo of Thai silver, IzzyBeads glass beads and pearls - very summery.
Silver, pearls and Venetian glass.

More Thai silver mixed with Jupiter like glass beads from IzzyBeads.

Etched glass beads with Thai silver making a long wrap around necklace.

Crazed agate and amethyst.

Black agates and silver.

2 days colour work.

Beads of the World
Made some more russett and beeswax today. Glass beads by Lush Lampwork with Russian amber, swarovski crystals and pearls.

Yesterday went back to Regatta and Lavendar with Tillerman beads from the Glass bead show in Stourbridge and accented them with pearls, black onyx and swarovski crystals.

Walked for miles last month into the back of Quiapo, Manila but was rewarded with these black onyx and banded agate beads. They go well with Thai silver, to make two simple but stunning necklaces.

Found these purple beads in Carolina's, Manila and the silver acrylic beads from the Hereford bead show and then finished them off with satin ribbon.

Back again...

Spent virtually the whole day twisting wire and trying to get this necklace to balance - I think it worked in the end. Large and interesting Thai silver pendant with accents of UK glass by Izzybeads and hammered silver.

Also made a selection of bracelets using crystals, glass and stones....

Later turned my hand at crochetting with stainless steel wire (below)!
